Different read end ratio/Speedo woes

You guys answered some of my questions last summer about the 740/Ford 5 liter we built. That thing came out GREAT!!! But the orig wagon had 4:10 or so final drive. We just located & changed out that rear end for one from a NON-ABS model (mine has ABS, tho it has never worked since I bought the car & I don't care anymore if it ever does)

My problem is this: The donor sedan, which recieved my whole old drivepack, (Volvo 4 cyl engine, auto-trans W/od and now the orig 4:10's)...Thinks it's going 100MPH when it's moving 20mph.

MY wagon with the 3:27 (or higher) rear end from the (formerly) standard-shift non-abs sedan....Thinks it's going 5mph when it's on the freeway!!

The good news is both cars are MUCH happier with their respective gearings now...We just need to figure out what else to swap to fix this speedo deal..We already tried swapping speedos...THAT didn't work!

We don't want to tear apart the rear ends to remove the "Tone Wheels".(if possible). We did already swap out the respective senders on the rear ends. Non-ABS uses the screw-on type. ABS uses the Allen-head with holder ring-type. We did a good wiring job, soldering & shrink-wrapping the wires..To no avail.

We are hoping for an electronic or simple mechanical fix...Hope springs eternal!

Thanks in advance for any info you might be able to provide!! Mike Ernesti, Vaughn, Wa
