Small Block Ford conversion manual

I have been working on the installation of a '00 Explorer 302 V8 into the '82 245 Diesel that I purchased new for a couple years now. This forum and others provided the information and confidence to know that I could do this. I would have been happy to post my epistle on the conversion here, that I found, but there is no way to post pictures and attachments.

Anyway, if you would like to review and comment on the project here is a link. I try to subscribe to the philosophy that you go home with the one that 'brung' you but that is not always possible.

Thanks to all on this forum that I learned from.

Nice work, there's a lot of good info there.

Thanks for the comment but it was because of you and lots of other people that I was able to collect enough information to do this. Many, many threads on the conversion but I found them difficult to assemble into overall documentation. SBC folks have the JTR books, Converse stuff is a little brief, and not many links between discussions on all the little subjects.

It would be great if you would post links to some of your many discussions on conversions on the 'Links' thread or under the specific subject. The intent has always been to encourage many more experienced than I to correct, add to and improve the base information provided. One principal issue is that what may be good information for my combination of car/engine/transmission may be lacking for someone else's situation. For example, the question of adequate radiators has already surfaced and I would hope the discussion would continue documenting all opinions and solutions in one place, easily accessible.

Again, thanks for you many years of answering questions.

Actually there is a way to post pics if they are "hosted" anywhere with a "URL address" like yours are. Your photo below is located at:
    http://i772.photobucket.com/albums/yy4/tporterellijaycom/CIMG0770.jpg
(I retrieved the address by doing a "copy image location" on the Mac, and assume it's also possible on other computers.

Paste the copied image address where you want the picture, then add [img src= in front of the http (with the [ replaced by <), and close the address with a > after the jpg, and you get:
