Your Converse timing is a little off.

"My '84 760 was completed in 1996, before all the hoopla, and prior to Converse Engineering in Maine starting his ford conversion business."

Converse was in business and had a 3-page spread in the May/June 1990 issue of Rolling, the VCOA magazine. But I didn't get mine on the road until 1996 either.
