Crank Sprocket Key replacement 1987

If the key that broke off is the one inside the sprocket you have to replace it. If the key that broke off is the one outside for the crank pulley you don't have to replace it. The pulley may not line up with the mark on the belt cover but that will not affect anything. Cylinder #1 will be dead on top when the slot for the sprocket key on the crankshaft is perpendicular to the camshaft, Since the engine is turned to left a little it looks like the slot is turned one notch to the left.
