Among your choices, the 1990 would be my choice. The 740 and 940 are more similar than different. Same engines, same chassis, the main differences are updates to the interior, exterior styling and upgrades like ABS, SRS, SIPS that the 940's had. One substantial difference was the addition of piston oil squirters on later 940 turbos, I believe that started with the '93 B230FT motors. I could be wrong about the year though.

In the best of all possible worlds I'd look for a later model 940 turbo wagon. I'd love to have one myself.
