Hi folks

My 88 760T with the Electronic Climate Control system flashes the code 1-2-2, indicating that the system trouble is "open circuit or short circuit to 12v." My symptoms are intermittent compressor operation, meaning that sometimes it will come on and other times it won't, but no on-off-on stuff; and the automatic default of the system to blowing air out only the lower heat vents--no dash unless manually selected with the knob. Where might I find this open circuit or grounded circuit? Swapping another control head yields isentical results, so I am assuming that the problem is elsewhere. Any ideas?
