It seems I have to break everything I touch lately...
I need to replace the speedometer gear on my 1983 245. Not a big problem, just order the plastic gear and replace it. Not quite so fast. On the 1983 it appears you have to remove the speedometer needle before the face can be removed and gain access to the plastic gear. My attempt to pry the needle off has broken the needle and bent the stem. I think I can repair this damage, but I still need to get the needle removed.
Can anyone give instructions?
