Piston slap to blown engine question 200

Piston slap is pretty normal on a cold B230. Not all of them do it but a pretty large percentage do. I have never seen a B230 blow up do to piston slap. Most B230's that I have changed out or seen changed out died due to overheating or they were flat worn out with 400K+ and they were low on compression and sometimes burning oil. I have seen far mor B20 pushrod motors "blow up". Heck I have blown up two of those myself. One did the usual and threw a rod right out the side of the block back by the starter and my other one was truly spectacular,it sucked a valve into the #3 hole and while the case was in one piece it scattered everything else inside of it. B230's will go a long time with the early morning piston slap, unnerving as it is.
