Now is a good time for me to ask 700

A Panhard rod is an early 20th century French invention which is some form of lateral support for a rigid axle i.e. stops it moving side to side. Do Google search for more info.
A Track Rod is a tie rod i.e. linking the steering together. In the UK we generally talk about track rods rather than tie rods and having the tracking set/adjusted rather than alignment. Hope this helps. Regards.
