Aw71 differences

Good afternoon
My brothers car is an 87 744Ti and has a dead aw71.
I have leads on an Aw71 out of a 93 240 with less than 100k miles.

What are the differences between these 2 transmissions?
Will the NA tranny work and hold up behind the turbo motor?!
