elec. problems

Sorry, it's a 84 240GL.

I did leave the car for three days without starting/running it and the batt died which seemed strange to me.

The other strange occurence is that the alt light on the dash lights up for a second (it alone) when the ignition is turned off.

My idea was that by testing the mA through each fuse I could pin point the drain. But I was surprised to find the only two fuses running current with the ignition off where the accessories one (clock, etc), and the hazard light fuse. But then when I pulled them both, and checked current through the battery, ie. by dis-connecting the neg terminal and checking the current between neg post and cable was ~6mA. In other words there was no current though any of the fuses , and yet there was still current through the battery.

Now that you mention it I have always had trouble with the door locks, and currently when I leave the car for long periods I disconnect the neg terminal to ensure I don't come back to a dead car. When I re-connect it the door locks do a clicking noise as soon as there is a connection on the neg post.
Could they be draining the battery?

Thanks,

Chris
