Sounds like a deal if you want to work a little on it. If there's no oil/coolant mix then the head gasket could be ok. Does the engine run smoothly at any speed? Are there any weird noises, knocking, pops, etc? It could be something as simple as a vacuum leak. I'd change plugs, wires, etc., check for leaks, and see how it runs.
