ac conversion / service ports 200 1988

I installed service ports on my Sanden compressor when I converted to R134. I bought them at Pep Boys and at O'Reily's for $12 each ( the 90 degree bend type). The straight ones are $8. I think they are 1/4 inch thread, but don't quote me on that.
The OEM Volvo retrofit kit has a low side port in the pipe near the receiver/dryer
(blue cap). YOu will only need to install the high side at the comressor (red cap). That way you can check both sides of the circuit and add the correct amount of R134.
Works great here in Hell's Oven (south Texas).
Next step is to rewire the electric fan with a relay and a manual switch for idling in traffic.
buena suerte,
el Raidman
