Help with automatic B230 Engine Replacement 700 1990

There is not step by step instructions on this, no even in books. Start disconnecting all cables and vac hoses and make a tag for everything that is disconnected noting where it goes. Then the throttle cables and kickdown cable. Hoses to radiator. Drop the Power steering, remove the alternator and drop the whole bracket that hold the AC. Remove the exhaust manifold fro the head, it is easier than trying to take the tree bolts on the other end. You may have to loosen the bracket bellow by the AT cooler lines to pull of the manifold from the head.
If you are removing only the engine: Remove all the bolts on the flywheel bell (these are fun). Remove 4 bolt that hold the fly wheel to the torque converter, pry the fly wheel a little to separate the torque converter. Hold the engine with a crane and remove the bolts from the engine mounts to the block, this will permit you to move the engine e forwards and up so the fly wheel moves out the AT housing. If you are removing engine and transmission. disconnect gear selector, the trans support and shaft bolts. Well, just and idea. Write notes besides the tags in the order you take things off so you can reverse the process with the new engine.
