Repairing the front of a threaded hole 200

Pick up a thread cleaner or thread chaser, as we called them. Basically a device like a tap with a taper that allows the front to be inserted beyond the damaged threads. If the damage isn't too bad, the tip of the device will grab the threads deeper in the hole and pull the rest of the tool in. Got my set at Sears.
