I have a problem with my other car. Not a Volvo, but Bosch electric
and Bosch K-Jet fuel injection.
I use the car realy seldom, about once a week only, I have it more for a backup in case my Volvo breaks down.
So I start it once a week, and it fires right up after 1/2 second cranking.
Let it run a few minutes. Second start up 1 hour later is terrible.
Have to crank it for 10 seconds and runs on 2 or 3 cylinders only for another 10 seconds. After that its totally fine. Next week the same.
By now you have figured out, that I move the car only for the street sweeper.
After the second start up there is a lot of water coming out of the exhaust.
I figured, that there must be a lot of condense water in the tank and that
water goes thru the fuelfilter (same type as Volvo) and the engine.
But why is there no problem when I start it the first time,
but always a big problem, when it sits for one hour?
Does the water accumulate in the fuelfilter or what?
Thanks a lot for all thoughts
