700 Radio Code Inputting Problem 700 1989

Hi,

Just got the right Radio Code from the dealers, however having trouble inputting it and getting the Radio to come on.

I have not got the instructions on how to enter the code properly, and the Radio when switched on asks for the 4 digit code I enter it and it tunes but stays muted.

Whats the trick? do I need to enter the code and press other button after to enable it?

The only way I can get some Music out of it is to remove the continous power fuse, switch off the Radio for a long time, switch it back on Radio asks for code, quickly switch it off, then on again Auto tune up and hey presto music!!

Am I doing something wrong? I would appreciate some help in the correct way to enter the code followed by any other buttons to press to get it going? I want to enable the continous power to it to retain stations.
