Clunks... 200 1993

The clunking you mentioned is not usually related to tie rods, and although it can be related to ball joints, I would suggest you look elsewhere first. The subframe connectors are a good place to start... check the FAQ's and previous posts for instructions on this. As for the rest of the steering... I would do a thourough inspection of all existing components, and if everything checks out, replace on an as-needed basis.
