Last but not least...what is this for? I cannot locate where this connects and I see no loose connectors anywhere. What is this for? The black cylinder holds a fuse.

Sorry for the lengthy posts and the big pictures. Any help is appreciated. I just had $3000 of maintenance done on this vehicle and the mechanic seems to have missed these :-(
