Auto-RX engine treatment ? 900

I've noticed numerous references to the Auto-RX engine treatment. Will someone please enlighten me on this topic and tell me why, when and if I should do this for my '96 960 (155k miles). I've noticed no leaks or excessive burning of oil. I already use Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil.
