Putting in a relay is probably true. My 854 windows go down via auto almost all of the time. Which is a pain when it is raining or cold and I need to put it down just enough to help the cabin vent. My V70 has a double switch in the switch itself for auto down - much better, but that unit comes as one piece for all 4 switches.
Just be happy with power windows that work when you want them to, and do what you want them to do.
