Converting from R-12 to R-134

I paid more than that for my 245 when R-134 was new on the market and frankly I think I was had. It MAY have needed the new condenser etc but I'm dubious.

Later on I had the 244 converted by my local indie shadetree and it cost all of a couple hundred bucks.

The difference is that all it needed was a flush, new o-rings etc and the R-134.

It's worked very well for over two years now.
