Engine sputtering after fuel pump replacement Part 2

When I pulled the in-tank pump the ground terminal was not attached to the pump and the section of plastic was black. I will attempt to post a pick of it. Kind of scarry considering where it was located.

When I replaced the FPR tonight the noise went away. No wine or growl and I thought it was fixed especially as good as it was running. I believe that the intank pump was going bad and put a strain on the main pump. Fortuntatly I get my parts at jobber. It is a double edge sword being on a first name basis with your parts man.
