Cam timing advanced. Problem? 900

Good day all,

Two days ago, I installed a new timing belt, seals, and tensioner in my '94 945T. When I took it for a test drive, I immediately noticed more power low in the rev band and the exhaust note sounded a bit different. I just confirmed what I thought that I had done. My cam is one tooth more clockwise than it should be.

I have been enjoying the extra low end punch. The even turbo seems to spool up faster and register higher on the factory boost gauge. The downside is that the engine runs out of breath at around 4500 rpm and by 5000 there's really nothing left, but when the trans hits the next gear it's kind of fun.

My question.....Am I going to harm the engine by leaving it in this state of "tune".

Thanks a bunch,
Chris

p.s. no oil leaks! yeh! (simple pleasures for a 43 yr old goat)
