The bearing is replaceable. I removed my driveshaft and took it to a shop that specializes in driveshaft work. The guy there took off the bearing and put on a new one while I waited. Really fast if you know what you're doing.
If you take the shaft off, be sure to mark all sections of the shaft (2) where the sliding joint is made and the flanges where it bolts on front and back. The shaft must go back together and bolt on exactly as it came off to keep the balance.
You'll want to replace the rubber bearing mount as well.
