My 91 740SE Turbo has been stalling for no apparant reason going down the highway, then start up a minute or so later. It's been doing it on and off for about two years giving me a code 1-4-4. It WAS the fuel injection relay. It also was cutting out at high RPM under full throttle. I changed the "air snorkle" from the air box to the turbo unit and presto, it happens no longer. It was getting soft and would collapse under the suction. All of this ended up costing me around $5 at the U-Pull-It yard ($1.50 for the relay and $2.99 for the air tube). I would not have had the slightest idea where to start with out this forum.
