I park my brick on a up hill incline during the work week. I have some questions reguarding this. My brick is a 1988 244 that has the M47 manual gearbox. I would like to know if it is bad to park a cal on an incline for about eight hours at a time? Is it better to park either with the nose of the car facing uphill or down hill. I'm mainly concearned with engene lubercation and any other sitafect that I'm not aware of. Also, I have been knowen to park with the car out of gear with the e-brake up and the wheels turned so that the car would roll into the curb if it must. I have heard that this is unsafe. If so, I will break this habit. My initial reason for doing this is that I heard that if a manual gearbox car was in gear and someone tapped the bumper that the transmission in the car would be damaged. Of coursea it would do a lot of good to spare the transmission and have the car self destruct by rolling down the hill. Is this lickly using the e-brake and turning the wheels? Thanks and happy bricking.
