Well I'm not sure what you mean by practical, as I don't think there is an "easy" way to do it without just replacing the whole thing. The directions for DIY replacement are in the 700/900 FAQs at:

They seem to be pretty well written directions.

IPD makes a headliner kit for about $100, and they have instructions that you can download from their website as well:
