I'll second (or third!) the temp sensor. D-Jet does not have a computer, just an analogue controller (although it is often called a computer). It will not detect faults like this, and will not ignore way-out sensor readings.

A friend of mine filled his virtually new 7-series BMW, and literally down the road it died. Turns out the petrol station tank had a leak and his car was now filled with water. It happens.
