Basically what he was saying is that the computer may behave differently depending on how far you have driven since each start up.
Both codes are indicating a mixture problem.
At that age testing the O2 sensor would be a good idea.
Also check all intake hoses for even the smallest of cracks . any air leaks in the engine side of the AMM will cause a lean condition. even a dried up oring on th e dipstick can do it. Check the accordian hose carefully( the bendy hose between the AMM and the throttle body ).Could also be a severly clogged fuel filter.
Last but not least the AMM could be bad, but I'd check the others first. Look in the faq's http://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/ for instructions on how to check these things . it is quite easy.
