Center console / armrest question 140-160 1969

Hi,
I bought the long armrest on ebay for my 71 142E. The console I purchased must have been for an automatic, but my car is a 4-speed. It has the locking armrest.
The console has a 'circle' traced on the underside but is solid through. I presume that this is where it needs to be cut for the manual tranny.
However, I installed new seat belts because all of my hardware was trashed and the retractors were bad. I used stuff from Julianos and put standard receivers on the floor.
Now I have taken the console out, because it does not have cupholders......
