Never Mind - I did it!
Had to remove rear door sill of course, but beyond that I just loosened? or rather bent the left rear cargo wall panel to see where the wire was coming out. Beacause I was using 12 guage wire, I was able to snake it thru over the wheel arch with the regular wire harness, and it came out down by fuel neck, more or less, with a little help pushing it along when I could see it from under the wall panel.
BTW, you have(?) to dismount the B-pillar trim to effectively remove the front door sill trim - the harness goes under the belt retractor here and it's not easily snakeable!
Good place to flush mount the 12v socket on a 745- the oval plastic panel covering the taillight bulbs' access. Drill hole and buy one with a lid - make Outback owners envious! If you change your mind that part is $5 at the wrecker. Im doing it especially for my ski boot warmer!
Mind where you drill the oval piece for proper clearance of the socket when installed. Hope this helps someone!
