Thank you for taking the time to read this post!
My wagon is driving me nuts, it dies when I give it anything more than just the slightest pedal pressure, yet it will idle all day long with just the mildest occasional miss. It will drive if I gently feather the throttle to get the car rolling but will try to stall, if given much more than 1/3 throttle. I have replaced the cap, wires, plugs and rotor. Also installed a new fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator. Replaced the exhaust system minus the cat and resonator. The throttle switch checks out okay per the Haynes manual and the supply line to the fuel rail has 85 PSI deadhead pressure ( I don't have the fitting to test the pressure while the engine is running ). I have checked the air filter and the intake piping, it is free of obstruction. The head gasket was replaced about 200 miles ago and it ran quite well during that time. Also checked for vacuum leaks with ether and found none. Not certain what to do next?
Thanks very much in advance!
