My 90 240 wagon seems to ping when I suddenly rev it while in park. Took it to the mechs. and of course it didn't do while I was there. seems to happen when warmed up. Thought maybe the timing slipped but mechs. said timing is set at factory and the computer makes adjustments automatically. I do have a rattling heat shield and probably need a header pipe in the future. A little out of my league to fix as I'm a new volvo owner and still trying to learn the car. Any suggestions? Thanx.
