I'm helping a friend of mine with an intermittent hard start problem. I have noticed that the 1 second fuel priming function (when ignition key turned to II) is inoperative. It is an '88 with LH 2.4 so it should have this feature. Is an output transistor in the ECU fried, or is a wire from the ignition key to the ECU broken? I have tested the fuel relay in another -88, and it works fine.
Just wanted to know if there is anyone with more experience on this who could share some info. Any input appreciated!
