Independent Auto, Peter Fitts, Specializing in Rear Wheel Drive Volvos, 683 Riverside Drive, Augusta, Maine, 207-622-4563. Lots of experience, honest, always booked up so make appointment one month ahead of time.
I have been to him twice and here are the results:
1. Replaced AW70L transmission (I supplied all parts) My bill: $225.00
2. Replaced center bearing and center bearing carrier (I supplied all parts) My bill: $45.00
Peter's hourly rate: $45 (local dealership's rate: $77)
