Engine running hot 200 1992

I have a 240 1992 wagon. Temp has been running hot. First time this happened, I had the thermostat replaced, and also had the radiator pulled and cleaned out. The water pump has also given out recently and been replaced. Things were fine for about a month or two. Last week after the temp guage was running hot again, our mechanic replaced the thermostat (which was less than 3 or 4 months old). Well, it's still running hot, with the guage getting near the "red."

After running the car today in our driveway, it appears the coolant isn't getting circulated. I let the car idle in our driveway, and the temp guage showed it getting hot again. The upper radiator hose was real hot after a while, but the lower hose was relatively cool. I'm going to take the car in again on Monday, but wondering if anyone has any idea what might be going on? This is the second thermostat and we have a new water pump. Thanks,

Jeff

p.s. thanks to the folks who gave feedback before on fixing the trim on my car. I wound up using an adhesive from the auto parts store that worked just fine.
