1-2-3 code for coolant temp sensor 200 1990

From the Volvo manual:

"If the signal from the ECT sensor corresponds to a temperature below -40C (-40F) or over 120C (240F) a DTC is logged."

"Causes of fault:
Break in or grouding of wiring, connections or a component.
Contact resistance in connections.
Poor signal GND connection."

EE2 - Checking the reference voltage
- Ignition on
- Disconnect the sensor
Connect a voltmeter between terminal 1 on the connnector and GND. The voltmeter should read 5V.

EE3 - Checking the ECT sensor resistance
- Ignition off
- Sensor disconnected
Connect an ohmmeter between terminal 1 on the sensor and GND. The (resistance) should read

(from graph) 20C ~2600ohms, 100C ~200 ohms, 0C ~6k ohms

The wire ends up on the ECU at pin 13.
