Hello all!
I am writing from Sweden and it has been a while since the last time.

I have read that one should change the seals on the injectors because they can get old and not seal properly.I bought four O-ring kits at the local Volvo shop, its Volvo number is 1346393.Does anyone recognize that number and is it the correct number and kit for a 1988 744 B230F LH-2,2?In every kit there is 3 O-rings, 1 yellow plastic cone and 1 small round grey plastic ring.

Why I am asking is because I started in the afternoon today to change the seals and those plastic things also on one injector only (to start with).There is only 2 O-rings on the injector that has to be changed, why was it three in the kit?The old O-rings didn´t seem bad at all despite that the car has 180 000 kilometers on it.The plastic cone was very hard to get of the injector, I can´t reuse it again because it´s destroyed now.

The injector tip and needle looked fine I must say, the cone was a little black on the inside but that was all I could see.I did spray on some electric cleaner although on the tip.

I have a feeling I have got the wrong kit for my injectors.The O-rings was complete the same as the old but the yellow plastic cone looks bigger and it is a bit taller on the height than the old one.The new grey round plastic ring which sits closest to the injector is about twice as thick as the old ring.

Maybe You can see the picture now, with the old things the needle as I could see was completely close to the opening in the plastic cone now the needle isn´t as close anymore because with a twice as thick plastic ring, a normal O-ring and the taller plastic cone at the end the needle gets longer away from the opening in the plastic cone.

This can´t be right or can it?Does anyone know and has anyone used the same kit for theirs 744 88?If I think about it seems like the fuel have a smaller chance to get through that very small opening in the plastic cone if the needle is to far away and that can not be good!

I will go down on Monday and talk with the man at the Volvo shop to hear if there is some misunderstanding but what do You think?
