a/c problems in Texas

Not sure what he means by "turning the a/c off and blowing hot air".

Just keep in mind these cars suffer from evap leaks. If yours is original, it definetely leaks by now...

A leaky system will eventually run too low, and the low pressure will cause a fast cycling compressor clutch (on/off) and eventually no on with only warm air.

just a thought, in case you donl;t feel comfortable with his diagnosis.
