agree with what everyone else has said..but...

your problem is likely to be WORSE than you think...

if you have that much rust you probably also have serious and i do mean serious errosion in the aluminium in the head (think t-stat & water pump bearing surfaces to startwith)

basically the moto is use ONLY volvo coolant..and change regularly...

i would go for stuck t-stat myself...
