What is the button under the rubber plug in the instrument cluster? S90-V90 1998

There is some king of reset button under a rubber plug in the face of the instrument cluster a little to the left of center. Can someone please tell me what this does and how it works (engine on or off, etc.)?? It akes a pointed object to get in there to push it. Thanks.
