I usually bring a ratchet with a 12mm,10mm,13mm sockets and a phillips head and standard screwdriver,adjustable wrench,needlenose plyers and a utility knife.Torx screwdrivers come in handy for the newer volvos.
I wear cargo type pants with big side pockets to carry the tools in and stuff with knobs,fuses,bulbs,etc...I love going to the "man's mall"
