I thought I would have access to the special tool used to hold the crank and cam shafts. A friend thought he had one, but it's not panning out.
So, I'm left to the other options in the FAQs. I have the 91 B230F engine.
Should I:
a) use a strap wrench (I can definatly get one of those)
b) remove the starter and jam something in the teeth
c) use an air impact wrench to loosen the bolt ( I could have a shop 1/2 mile away loosen it, then retourqe it below spec and crawl home. Then I'd use a or b above.)
or another option.
I really wanted to start this Saturday because of the long weekend. I can't get the tool here by then even if I order it.
