Two suggestions:
1.connector at air mass meter..is it tight? If it fails again, unplug air mass and see if it will start.
2.fuel pump relay, might be failing. buy and carry a spare, if it stalls change relay and see if that helps.
>>maybe trade cars with wife for a few days so you can trouble shoot.
also, are you getting a "check engine light?
