intermittent start 1800

No cutoff switch. I've had this symptom a few times and always ended up replacing the starter motor before long. Don't know about the availability or cost-effectiveness of just changing the solenoid.

Of course, you may have a problem with the switch itself, although I haven't run into that myself.
