When you open up the doorpanel, you'll find one of two things- either the rod has slipped off the hook-thingy on the doorhandle (easy and free), or as previously stated, one of the rivets broke. If that's the case, just go down to the hardware store and buy a small nut and bolt. Fixed for about $1.50.
