Warren, take a look at Stongard lens protectors. They really do work, don't affect the lamp quality, and keep those expensive glass lenses intact. When we bought my kid's 940, I waited a month to buy the Stongards. Of course, within that month he encountered a rock and needed a new lens. Since installing the film, no problems at all...
