im scratching my head... i got a 940GL and it takes me 30 seconds to get at those bulbs?! are we taking about the same thing here? i just pull off the twist swiches then pull back the surround and wedge a screwdriver in the hold behind where the switches were. it can easily be removed. i found the screws around the outside pull out the entire assembly which isnt required.
