This happened to me as well. I went to the hardware store and bought some steel, epoxy and some screws. I bent the steel to shape, glued and screwed it in place, after several trial and error attempts, and so far so good. I can post some pics later for you. All in all, it cost me about 10 bux.
While it was loose, my wife scraped the driveway apron pulling one side almost completely off.
The bumper surround is fastend with clips so it's kept in place by the forward motion of the car against the air.
I think she hates the 960. She's driving the V70. I've been driving the 300SE.
